The Club season for 2024/25 Started early September, where members showed their images from the Summer Challenge.
The second week saw one of our members with a presentation headed ‘The Power of Print’.
The following week we met for an outdoor event for a lowlight and lunar photography event.
The final presentation for September was a presentation By Wayne John – No NOT John Wayne. Wayne provided us with a presentation entitled the ‘Unnatural Environment’ that included the sort of shot we might normally shy away from but his images really brought image of Pylons, Fences, Wind Turbines etc to life.
October was welcomed in with images of life on the street by Gareth Martin.
On the 11th we had a studio evening with Martin Pinches accompanied by his model who provided us with opportunity to take some great portrait photos.
On the 18th we had a battle with Cardiff Camera club.
October ended with a presentation of the images from this years Welsh Photographic Salon.
November began with a presentation of some excellent Landscape images by the French photographer now living in Bristol – Jonathan Genevaux who also outlined his methodology and resources for planning his photographic trips.
On the evening of the 8th November we had a post production evening using Lightroom led by Neil Latham.

On 15th we have a 3 way battle with Merthyr, Rhiwbina and of course Barry. This is held at our club.
On Saturday 16th we have entries in the Stanley Chell photographic competition open to all WPF clubs. The event is held at Aberdare.
On 22nd We Have a club practical photographic evening where we will look at and experimenting with lighting techniques and model photography.
On the 29th we have the final event of the month where members are asked to edit some images and present their rendition of them on the night.
