Our new events program for 2025/26 is shown below –

19th December: WE have a club night – “Name That Tune” . members are asked to bring in images that depict the title of songs by a well known Pop group. The chosen group is ABBA. members should bring 3 or 4 images related to 3/4 different hits by the group and other members must identify the title of each of the songs depicted.

A nice light event to finish the 2025 session over the Christmas period.

We start back on 9th January 2026 with:

An Evening with Mali Davies. Mali is a world class photographer and will be showing some of his exceptional Images. Visitors are welcome but a small entrance fee must be paid at the door.

16th January – We have an Experimental Zoom Meeting organised by Anne Phillips and Malcolm downes.

23rd January we have a members evening – this is an opportunity for members to practice or look into the art of photography – the Theme is to be confirmed.

30th January is an internal competition where members have the opportunity to present their best digital and printed images for judgement by Mike Clatworthy.

February 2026

6th February we have a Body Painting Audio Visual presentation by Dennis Russ

13th Alan Pick will present us with the results of Days Out With His Camera.

20th Natural History Competition – where members compete for The Dave Hunt Trophy.

27th A Presentation by Kev Robertson – “Alaska Was It Worth IT?”

March 2026

6th Nobody – a Zoom presentation by Mike Martin

13th RGB Battle – an interclub competition between Rhondda, Gwynfa and Barry Camera Clubs to be held at Barry club house.

20th – Internal competition – Creative images. Barry Camera Club members compete for

1. the John and Jean Harvey trophy for best monochrome image and

2. The Malcolm Downes Trophy for best Colour image.

27th March Nigel Thomas shows us how to achieve the perfect print.

April 2026

3rd – No Club Night

10th A presentation by Gerald Henry – “My Photographic Journey”.

17th Wayne John – demistyifies infrared photography.

24th Fifty Years of Freds Photography – our very own Fred Davies presents his photographic journey.

May 2026

1st The final competition of the club year – The Annual Competition – judged by Dennis Russ

8th Annual Dinner – members meet for a gastronomic evening at a local venue.

15th An Outdoor Photoshoot organised by Neil Latham – Sunset at Porthceri

6th June 2026 The Grand finale of our year THE BARRIAN CUP.
